I am blessed to live in a country where I can tell stories through different media nearly 24hrs a day. I’ve been looking in my twitter streams’ archives and just laughing at my ridiculousness at times.

There are people who live less than 20 miles away from me who have no access to proper food or shelter, speak less of new technology. It’s important to keep our lives in perspective, not to feel guilty about what we do have, but to use our resources to empower and bless others who are less fortunate.
Before you can do this, you have to know what you’ve been blessed with. Of course we know we’ve got things, but can you name them? I have transportation, food, bags and purses a plenty, cell phones, health insurance. We shouldn’t rely on these things to measure our success; rather, we should use them to help others’ successes along.
“Count your blessings. Name them one by one and it will surprise you what God has done.”
